486 Hours of Real-World IT Experience

This blog documents my 486-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) experience as a 4th year BS Information Technology student. Through this internship, I am gaining hands-on exposure to hardware troubleshooting, system installation, network configuration, and IT operations — translating classroom knowledge into real-world technical skills in the ALINDECO IT Department.

Completed company orientation and began hands-on IT tasks such as PC assembly, OS installation, SSD upgrade, and system configuration with data backup.

Serviced printers and bootstrapped a custom Laravel QR Inventory System to manage IT assets, software, and company fixtures with PDF generation.

Refactoring & Security

Refactored the system's database categories into a unified asset structure, implemented secure user authentication, and finalized layout UI/UX across auth modals.

System Finalization & IIS Deployment

Troubleshot printer hardware, completed advanced UI enhancements, and successfully deployed the QR Inventory project to the company's live Windows IIS server.

Configured pfSense DNS Host Overrides, adjusted IIS port bindings, and resolved remote deployment blockers including HTTP verb restrictions and SQL enum constraints.
